Things sure have changed since my wedding day, especially the fantastic accessories and reception supplies available. When I started browsing the internet I found so many beautiful wedding and reception accessories for almost any type of wedding you could imagine. If you want a beach party wedding you can find beach party accessories like beautiful little seashells and starfish, just to name a couple. They have summer and spring designs to choose from that are just awesome. I found very exceptional new wedding selections for seasonal ceremonies. There are winter season decorations and all their accessories with the glitter and gold that will definitely be a beautiful addition to your themed decor. You would be surprised how many people have weddings in the winter and have it outside. I thought to myself having a winter wedding outside would be gorgeous in one sense, and a little weird in the other, not to mention how cold it would be. I think I’d rather have my winter wonderland wedding and reception, indoors, where it’s warm. Maybe a ski resort would be a good place for a winter wedding, with all the fireplaces and cozy winter atmosphere.

Autumn is a beautiful time of the year and my favorite, and it would be a great time to have a wedding. Autumn is the best season for me and the best time to have a wedding, with it’s colorful background as your main motif. My wedding day was so long ago that the choices we had were being married in the church or running away and getting married. Times have changed so much that you can plan your wedding day to be what you want it to be. There are even destination weddings, where you have a few close friends and family go along to the location of your choice for you ceremony. It seems like a great way to escape for all the friends and family. You can choose from a terrific new favor selection - they have everything from old style weddings to long distance weddings.

Soon my daughter will be getting married and I have been helping her to prepare for her country western wedding and reception. When she told me her idea for the wedding, I thought oh boy this is going to be one weird wedding, but as we were planning it I saw how awesome it was going to be. My daughter found all the western accessories to plan her wedding and make it a success. They had a style of there own. She hired a country band and placed grills and hay around for the party setting. For the reception, she is going to put lights and lanterns all over. She order western place card holders and watercans for the centerpieces and put flowers in them. To my surprise they planned to rent a western ranch for the wedding. Many of the wedding decorations that she ordered online are a great match for her country western wedding. She also purchased cowboy hats for herself and her groom and the most adorable new wedding invitations for her guests.

She has everything all planned out to be more of a huge family cookout, hayride, picnic type of reception. I know it will be a lot of fun and enjoyment for everybody. I was surprised to hear that they are going to have a barn dance in a good ole country western style. Now that I knew what to expect I decided to get all the western gear, like blue jeans, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats so I can participate in all the fun. This is going to be a wedding to remember and will be talked about for years to come. Thanks to my daughters great country themed wedding, she’s given me a great idea for our anniversary.

It was a lot easier than I thought it would be to plan my outside wedding and reception. In fact, it didn’t cost as much as an indoor wedding would have cost us. Since we had the beauty of nature all around us, it wasn’t too expensive to decorate. The first thing on my agenda was to find that perfect place to hold our summer wedding and reception party. I could have had our wedding ceremony on the beach, with a fun filled beach party reception, or an elegant garden party, but I chose a ceremony and reception in the park. I found several perfect parks that would work fine for our wedding day.

Since I never planned a wedding like this before, I needed all the help I could get. When you plan to be married in the great outdoors, it seems you have to have a backup plan just in case the weather turns from sunny to pouring buckets. A tent was suggested just in case the weather turns out badly.

In our original wedding preparations, we had a lovely canopy set up for the reception and a lovely trellis for our ceremony. I mainly concentrated on the decorations for our wedding table and the reception tables. About all I needed were a extra flowers and my table settings, thanks to the already present beauty of the park. I decided to go with artificial flowers because I didn’t want to have our wedding to be the target of a bee swarm. The only way you could tell that the flowers were artificial, was by touch, they were beautiful. Planning this wedding wasn’t all that hard, but there was a little more than I expected. Like, making sure there were citronella candles all around, rest rooms close by and making sure our cake was kept cool until ready to be cut.

There was a variety of accessories available for the outdoor reception. As centerpieces for our reception tables I used citronella votive candles and place them in glass globes with flowers around them, and used park bench place card holders for each guest. I found very decorative favor boxes and used them to package the chrome bottle openers we bought for our friends and family as a summer wedding favor. The most beautiful part of our wedding table was our cake with it’s gorgeous wedding cake topper.

While shopping for my wedding accessories I saw this topper and couldn’t resist it. They were customized toppers for the wedding couple. All I had to do was send in a head shot picture of me and my fiance and they custom made a bride and groom cake topper with our faces. How could I ask for a better wedding keepsake than that? Our friends and family were really loved the cake topper and gave us a lot of compliments on it. Our crystal champagne flutes and silver cake serving set was just a few of the fantastic accessories I ordered for our ceremony and reception. It’s unbelievable all the lovely accessories you can purchase from you computer.

It was the perfect wedding and reception, just like I had hoped for. Plan B never had to be used, since the weather was so beautiful, and thankfully it remained that way through the whole evening. We all loved the super DJ and the fantastic job he was doing, and if I’m right, he probably kept the music and dancing going on for quite a while after we left to go on our honeymoon. A lot of good things were said about our wedding ceremony and everyone said they had a fantastic time at the reception. I’m so glad I decided to go with a wedding in the park. I’d love to do this again and have a wedding renewal in the park, maybe for an anniversary, someday.

It took me a while before I could decide on a theme for our ceremony and reception party. I checked on three different themes, beach, garden and country western. Then I thought maybe I should just stick with the traditional type of ceremony and reception. I also thought about a fantastic destination wedding. How great would it be to have a ceremony and reception in Las Vegas, or maybe take it all the way to Hawaii? I would probably go for the Hawaii destination. But then I thought about all the people that would be disappointed that they couldn’t be there, and I had to toss that idea in the dumpster.
Then I thought about a winter themed wedding. But since we were getting married in the summer months, I didn’t think I should go with a snow scene. So I decided to go with every young girls dream of marrying a prince, and chose to have a storybook wedding, just like in the fairy tales I read as a child. With all the accessories there are available, I could have the wedding of my dreams. I also found a place to get the perfect fairy tale wedding cake for a gorgeous royal wedding. So I finally made up my mind. I wanted a fairy tale wedding and reception.
I had no problem finding the perfect wedding invitations online. Next I started checking out all the wedding accessories and reception supplies I would need. My wedding dress was absolutely gorgeous and the bridesmaids and flower girl had beautiful dresses that were floor length. All of the groomsmen and the ring boy looked so handsome in their tuxes, but the best looking one of all, was my regal prince. As I made my way down the aisle to my handsome prince Charming I felt like I was living a dream. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding ceremony. The flowers, the candles, and the gorgeous satin bows on the end of the pews really set the whole thing off. As we were leaving the church, everyone tossed rose petals and cheered us on. Outside we climbed into a gorgeous horse drawn carriage to take us to the reception hall.
Our reception was a total success, with all the storybook accessories, it looked like the inside of a castle. I was able to find all the accessories I needed for this special themed wedding and some very lovely wedding favors for our friends and family. I had every wedding reception favor done up in storybook themed favor boxes. I can’t believe all the accessories I was able to get for my fairy tale reception. I decided on little coaches for place card holders and the gorgeous place card holders that looked just like Cinderella coach. I couldn’t have pulled this off without the wonderful accessories they have for fairytale weddings.
Everyone had a fabulous time and I received a lot of compliments on the décor. One of my guests said it was the most beautiful ceremony she’d ever been too. I have to admit, it was quite special. I’m so glad that I chose this theme and found so many accessories to help me make it happen. I wanted today to be as special for our guests as it was for me and my new husband. Everything at our reception was in a fairytale theme, even our cake, so I wanted themed wedding party favors too. I felt that a momento of this special day would mean more than any other gift I could give them. Something that could hold the memory of today for them as well as for us.
As soon as we returned from our honeymoon, I got started on all the thank you notes I needed to mail out. Believe it or not, I was able to get thank you notes with a fairytale theme. I wonder if we could do this again for our anniversary?

So my decision was made. We can declare a royal wedding.

My wedding dress was absolutely gorgeous and the bridesmaids and flower girl had beautiful dresses that were floor length. My handsome fiance and all of his wedding party looked so elegant in their tuxes, even the little ring boy looked like royalty. When I walked down the aisle towards my husband to be I really felt like I was royalty. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding ceremony. The flowers, the candles, and the gorgeous satin bows on the end of the pews really set the whole thing off. Rose petals were falling all around us as we were leaving the church. Outside we climbed into a gorgeous horse drawn carriage to take us to the reception hall.

Our guests all had a wonderful time and were very impressed with all the lovely storybook décor. A friend of ours told us it was the most fantastic dream wedding she’s ever seen. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. A fairy tale wedding was a great idea, and it really helped to be able to have such fantastic accessories to choose from. I wanted today to be as special for our guests as it was for me and my new husband. I made sure their wedding gifts were of a storybook theme, just like our wedding cake and other accessories. I wanted our guests to leave with something that would remind them of this special day. I wanted to give them something they would look back on with fond memories.

When I walked down the aisle towards my husband to be I really felt like I was royalty. Our wedding ceremony was more beautiful than I could have hoped for. All of the gorgeous décor only added to the beauty of our ceremony. Rose petals were falling all around us as we were leaving the church. We were driven to the reception in a horse drawn carriage, just like royalty.
A real castle wouldn’t haved looked as good as our reception hall with all of the fantastic accessories and decorations. I had no problem when it came to the decorations or the wonderful wedding favors I had for our guests. I had every wedding favor done up in storybook themed favor boxes. I was amazed at all of the themed accessories there were for our fairy tale reception. Since this was a special day in my life, I wanted everything to be special. I made sure their favors for wedding were of a storybook theme, just like our wedding cake and other accessories. I wanted to give our guests more than just favors, that’s why I chose gifts that could also be used as souvenirs. A special something to remind them of sharing this very special ceremony with us.
After the honeymoon was over, there was the job of filling out thank you notes for all of our guests. There was even thank you notes available in storybook theme. Maybe on our 20th anniversary we can do this again.
